Audio BBcodes - how do I actually attach an mp3 file?

Really dumb question....I have done all this but how do I actually attach an mp3 file ? Where do I upload it to ? so all members on the forum can listen to it in the player...( I used the one in the first post ) Thanks....feel like a damn n00b for asking !

what do you mean exactly? you want to upload an mp3 to your site, and have the player on a certain area of the post or the forum so the users can listen to it? or just upload the mp3 and have the users input the url themselves in the bbcode so they can listen to it while on the post or the preview?

that is why I am asking you are you going to upload the mp3? to your site for them to use? or will they use their own mp3 from somewhere else!?
if you are going to upload the mp3 to your site and you upload it to your forum root, then they will put in

or if mean to use a different song that what is in the first post, then find one on the net, and then use THAT mp3 link!
